Frozen Semen Quality of Kolbroek Boars Concerning Glutathione Concentrations

Glutathione(GSH) is an antioxidant that being studied for its ability to improvecellular responses semen preservation challenges. The research goal aimed toevaluate the impact of introducing different glutathioneconcentrations boar freezing extender (0, 1, 5, and 10 mM) onthe Kolbroek sperm's quality after frozen thawed. For 2 h, thecollected sperm-rich fraction was chilled at 17°C. Following 1 h ofequilibration, B: Control (egg yolk 20% + BTS 72% glycerol 8%), mM(egg 70% 8% GSH 2%), 5 mM 62 8%glycerol 10%) 52% 20%)was added into samples. that, 0.5 mL straws with thediluted, cooled samples were submerged in liquid nitrogen (LN2)vapor then stored inside LN2 tank (-196°C). After thawing(37°C), parameters sperm motility, velocity, morphology viability,membrane permeability, Malondialdehyde content assessed recorded.Using analysis variance, data examined. results revealed adifference total motility (%) on fresh as compared post-thawedcontrol treatments. A significant difference spermprogressive (27.07±4.5). Significant differenceswere recorded live viability (81.8±2.8%)compared control, mM. In the10 diluted (78.5±6.8), proportion intact plasmamembrane integrity highest (P<0.05), while percentage the1 (73.0±2.7) lower. levels lowest (P<0.05)in group receiving treatment. conclusion, therequired amount be cryopreserving semenfrom boars.
